PLACES IN THE HEART – THAT IS WHAT WE HAVE IN THE OPINION
OF THE AMERICAN JEFFERSON INSTITUTE

21 non-profit organization’s Youth Night Sport Department in
Subotica won this year’s competition of the American Jefferson
Institute in Serbia and was awarded the Places in the Heart
Award as the most successful non-profit initiative of the year
2006.
 The
Award, which was handed out this year for the second time by the
American institute, was received by Deže Kiš, the co-ordinator
of the Moonlight Programme and the person who introduced it in
Serbia, on the 7th of June in Belgrade. The selection committee
made up of ten eminent professionals judge the Moonlight
Programme, as an activity which promotes the involvement of
youth in society, to be the most significant project in Serbia.
 We
would like to thank the Institute and the BCIF fund for the
recognition and the support. We are also grateful for Subotica,
this beautiful town, for standing by us in the past two years,
and for everyone who have in any way and anywhere supported this
noble initiative.
The
Award is not only ours, but also theirs.
